LOK Give Day Event

Just Announced: $125,000 match!

Dear Friend,

If you are on our mailing list, you probably received a letter from us recently with some exciting news — LOK Wishing Tree Foundation is participating in this year’s La Porte County GIVES and will be competing to win $25,000 in matching funds and special prizes from the Unity Foundation of LaPorte County that will make our donors’ gifts go even further.

However… since that letter we got this update. There will now be an additional $125,000 in matching funds that will be distributed to the LOK and other participants based on our pro-rata portion of the dollars raised! In other words, if LOK raises 5% of the total raised by all of the participating organizations, that’s $5000! 10% is $10,000!

Please consider a gift to help us continue our life saving and life affirming work — saving lives through our carbon monoxide education outreach and providing art opportunities for young people, helping them fulfill their creative dreams.

Will you please help us? There are several options:

Mail a check. A check can be mailed to Unity Foundation anytime (422 Franklin St Suite C, Michigan City, IN 46360), beginning today (must be received at their office by noon on October 5th.) Please make sure to indicate LOK Wishing Tree Foundation in the memo section. Or use our regular online donation platform, (if received by noon on October 5th it will count toward our campaign total.)

Give online during the live event. The online event is a 30-hour marathon beginning at 2 p.m. (Central) on October 6th, and running for 30 hours only (until 8 p.m. Central time on October 7th).  Your gift of any amount helps us fulfill our mission! This link will go live on October 6th when the event begins! http://bit.ly/GiveDayLOK,

Donate your social media status. That’s right, whether you’re in a position to make a financial gift or not, you can still help us by spreading the word via social media. It’s easy — just click here and then select the social media platforms where you are willing to share LOK’s message. Choose either a CO message or Arts message.
